  1. Have a look HERE and if you aren't able to resolve it following those instructions can you advise what version of Outlook you use?
  2. So I take it you got windows 10 installed? Have a look here... http://www.fixerrs.com/2016/08/windows-10-update-error-0xc1900107.html
  3. Could I suggest for a clean working windows 10 you try a clean install, you are entitled to do this and use your same id as you do now. As stated above if your system ran on 7 it "should" be ok on 10, but there is no guarantee on this. Clean installs are always preferable to updates. As far as Microsloth advising future updates may not work on your pc is concerned, their record to date with updates doesn't guarantee they'll work on any machine.
  4. You might like to look HERE also if the tiles dont't suit you?
  5. Hello Dell, As a workaround if you don't mind temporarily installing firefox or something similar, you could use http://www.hekasoft.com/hekasoft-backup-restore/ to backup Safari and restore it to Firefox, then import from firefox into Edge. Yes it's a bit messy but depending on how much stuff you've got to recreate it may well be worth a go. If you don't want to install Firefox there is a list of alternate browsers hekasoft can backup/restore to at the above link. Hekasoft is free, there is a portable version and it works well across different browsers
  6. If you mean that the disc that's part of the retail package doesn't have the latest drivers I too have found that with Asus sound cards, but they are always available at their website. These drivers are available for the DSX I have been told I've been brainwashed, but I would not go back to an earlier OS than 10.
  7. And to think you gave me a real hard time earlier because I said I don't rush in to Windows updates. It's test pilots like yourself who I have to thank that go through this grief that allow the bugs to be sorted before I get my updates that go smoothly
  8. No Sir, I would not go back to Windows 8 or 7, and 7 was nice, but 10 blows it away. What I don't do is get updates the minute they come out, just the same as with previous O/S's
  9. Windows 10 is already a great O/S, easily the best offering from Microsloth, ever, and even without the constant barrage of updates..
  10. You are dealing with Micro$oft here, depends on the servers, just leave them go as it's not unusual to take ages.
  11. But when you watch the repeats they don't get any older.
  12. Another player that will play anything, and work well with Windows 10 is Pot Player, you will find it plays video at better quality than VLC too.
  13. I hope you dont mind me responding to this when you quoted Rich-M?? I will list what I like about Macrium but the same things would apply to Aomei I guess. Nice clean interface. Regular updates with automatic checking. The ability to make backup templates. Having only ever done full system images, was never phased by this restriction in earlier versions. Macrium free now does differential as well. Ease of mapping a backup and ability to restore individual files to wherever you want. It has never failed to restore, or clone, whereas Acronis had failed to clone. I guess the above sounds like a pre requisite for any backup software, and even though I'm reasonably familiar with backup software the idea of all partitions being selected by default for an image would be reassuring for novices, especially in this era where Windows 10 for example may have multiple partitions which obviously have to be included should a restore be required.
  14. I have to agree about disconnecting the drives any backups are on. Since losing some business records years ago I have become paranoid about backing up, or more correctly imaging. I backup to external USB drives and also to a 4 bay NAS that is permanently switched on as it is a media server as well. I do not believe in raid so I have another 4 bay NAS that is only ever connected and switched on to backup the first NAS. That way I am in control. I see a bit of chat about backup software, and must confess to playing with different brands. I used Acronis for years in my business and found the basic backup side of the software pretty bullet proof, but there was always bugs that affected settings, or the interface, and they never ever fixed them, they just bought out new versions with different bugs. I also got sick of all the extra baggage that was bundled with it, total overkill. Towards the end of my dealings with Acronis I never would install the program and just ran it off the boot disc. After giving Acronis the spear, I tried a few freebies and moved to Macrium, again it is solid, but so bleeding slow. Good allround free product. I also dabble with Aomei and have done since its introduction, great interface, and fast but the early versions gave me, and according to Mr google, problems with network connections. The later versions do not suffer this and make lightning fast backups, great windows PE discs without downloading the Microsloth megadownload, and read/write to my network NAS boxes and devices without issue. I do not want to be using 2 different products, and I think I will slowly phase out Macrium for Aomei. FWIW
  15. You're in the deep doggy doo doo there. Sorry about the key, I left the "K" out and can't recall where it goes, Have you tried calling Microsloth, maybe they can insert it for you.
  16. Don't know so much about a first time poster asking help to pirate software, think he might know pretty good? The question is, did my key work? This thread needs the old "Ready steady go" puff of smoke, thread gone
  17. Can someone apply the ban hammer PLEASE. Whilst hes is waiting to get clobbered he can try this key, backwards and forwards.. 12345-ABCDE-67890-FGHIJ-LMNOP Oh no, forgot the K
  18. It sure looks like MS is replacing your manufacturers driver with a crappy windows one, and it will continue to do so unless you turn driver updates off. Have a read of this HERE.
  19. These are network devices that share multimedia, and only the highlighted Qnap nas is currently turned on.
  20. PDF format has been used for years, particularly in business. As I understand it, it makes a file which contains fonts and formatting to ensure the file displays the same on another machine which may not contain the same fonts and formatting. Basically it makes documents, and similar, consistent across different machines. It's not a real printer, more virtual, it's a driver to package the PDF into a standard output. Here's a pic from my machine which has Foxit PDF installed. It too has a Foxit PDF virtual printer driver.
