How can I create a guest account in Windows 10?

Hi @Gerard D Gilles - That's really a great question. Microsoft made changes to Windows 10 around Guest accounts.

The easiest way is to just create a local account for your visitors to use. The account will not be able to access files in other user profiles. For 99% of cases, it should solve the requirement just fine.

To turn it into a Guest account, just remove it from the Users group and add it to the Guests group.

I love the approach of "standard account" because the "Standard User" can't install anything new but can use the computer other than looking at other user's files, so that solves almost every reason to use "Guest Account" anyway.

Yeah that's what I do also. I just create a standard account and it works fine.
