  1. Get back into Windows in Safe Mode and see if you can remove it. Something (driver, software, etc...) must be conflicting with the update.
  2. You might try changing your Network Adapters "Speed & Duplex" from Auto Negotiation to 1 Gbps Full Duplex or 100 Mbps if your switch/routers does not support 1G. Post back if this fixes your issue. Thanks!
  3. Doesn't sound like an OS issue.... Sounds like a drive issue. You might try to reinstall Windows and see if you have a drive posting in the system.
  4. Take a look at this article: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/change-default-email-app-windows-10-mailto/ It will explain how to change your default for email links.
  5. Here ya go: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-specifications Faster is better.
  6. So it just won't boot up anymore? It just keeps going into a blue screen?
  7. What version of Windows 10 are you using? Are you logged in with an ADMIN account? This is what is should look like.
  8. Here's a few things you can try on our main site: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/fix-black-screen-windows-10/ Give those a shot.
  9. I was able to find a manual for Webscan: https://direct3.imagedepositgateway.com/WebScan/Documentation/3109/index.htm#t=WebScan-ch1-ovw.htm. Install updates: https://direct3.imagedepositgateway.com/WebScan/Documentation/3109/index.htm#t=WebScan-ch3-upgrade.htm%23Install_Updates_Using_WebScanbc-1&rhtocid=_2_0 It also gives you an install to update the latest version of the software - https://direct3.imagedepositgateway.com/WebScan/Update/3109/WebScanCapture_Setup.msi I would probably just look around for a valid install MSI or EXE and go that path vs. use the auto-update. I don't see a URL to enable that update feature.
  10. Depending on your Laptop, you need to download controls software for your touchpad. Try to goto your Laptop's manufacturers website (Dell, Lenovo, etc...) and look for the software/driver for your Touchpad. Synaptics is normally the primary provider there. Once installed, you will be able to disable your touchpad 100% from the settings.
  11. You might want to pull out the batter and unplug it from the charger. Plug it all in again and see what happens.
  12. Hi @iAmT3DD - The first thing you need to figure out is, are you having a Hardware or Software issue. When you boot the laptop, do you see anything on the screen? Do you see the BIOS post to the screen or is it black from the moment you turn it on?
  13. First, make sure you are logged in as an Admin to your desktop. Next, I would reinstall the app.
  14. What happens on the site? Does the browser crash or?
  15. You should test your Audio and confirm it's working before the call. Go into Skype > Settings > Audio & Video. Setup your Mic and Speakers. Run a test. Results?
  16. Do you have a screenshot you can share?
  17. Hi @slashbracket - It appears what you've done is enable the OneDrive backup of your Desktop, Pictures and Documents folder. The fix is fairly simple. Right-Click OneDrive icon in Taskbar, Click More > Settings Click Backup Tab Click Manage backup (under Important PC Folders) Click Stop Backup for each of the 3 folders (Desktop, Pictures, Documents) It will give you a warning that your files will still be located in OneDrive. You will just need to move them if you don't want them backed up. But, you should be fixed.
  18. Heya @Geoff Olding - thanks for posting the fix on this! Good info.
  19. Read through this article and see if you can get things going again: https://www.groovypost.com/howto/fix-black-screen-windows-10/
  20. Hi, Unlike Dropbox, Onedrive cannot detect other systems on your local LAN and then sync more quickly vs. pulling down from OneDrive servers. So, to make things go faster, you could copy the files over manually before turning on OneDrive then select that folder where you copied your data. When you enable Onedrive, it will then see the files are already there and only sync the delta's. From there, you can blow away your old system and you're good-to-go.
