hi please may I ask, if you are using windows 8 and not windows 8 pro, can the windows 10 pro release still be used? and also will it also be available threw windows update? second question please, when windows 10 is final, will there be a windows 10 as well as windows 10 pro? thank you. :)

I think it's safe to say that Windows 10 will have several versions just like Windows 7 and Windows 8. Enterprise Edition will probably be for the corporation and it will probably have a Windows Pro and/or Windows 10 standard edition. This has been the trend with Microsoft for the past 10 years? Can't see that changing anytime soon.

That said, there will also be a subscription model so we will have to wait and see what that means exactly.

Actually, there will be far less SKUs (versions) than Windows 7. What some expect is only two versions -- Consumer and Enterprise.

Well, then you have your Mobile version and Xbox versions but on your laptop, you will just want the consumer version.

Time will tell of course, but that is what I hear from sources inside the company.
