That's nice @Rich-M but I think Cindy's is less cluttered Why so many printers? I tried to count screens. I think there were three and a bunch of towers!

Hi @allheart55 (Cindy E) Thanks! I have been there. I attached the screen shot in a earlier post on this thread. I'm just saying I don't see what everyone else is showing in update history. Thanks for your post Cindy! I only have one entry in mine. I attached a scree shot of that also!

Hi! If anyone is still watching this thread, i have a question. Why should I even care about my update history? Which seems to have been deleted, and I have no clue how that happened. I suppose a new history will now start. It seems I have a total of one so far! I did run the reset windows updates by Shawn Brink. I'm thinking that's when my update history got deleted. Again my question to anyone here. Why do I need a update history. What purpose does it have??

Hi! @JulsieL Doesn't the windows logo key + C work for you. That's how I wake Cortana up!
Perhaps this will help -

Also - Sorry for not understanding your issue. Have you checked all the setting in Cortana? I have created a zip file that shows how to access the settings in Cortana. Hope this helps

Hi! @Steve I too am interested in what are the plans for the old forum as @ShockerSH Asked and commented on. It is very dusty Cool! What are your plans for this forum??

Hi! How do you explain @ShockerSHs screen shot??Ad-Supported
Also I'm interested in what that means! I too am very cautious about my down loads. The freeware programs have become corrupted with PUPs and who knows what else they are installing on us!

Hi! @ShockerSH I'm not Steve, but have you subscribed to the news letter??

Hey @ShockerSH If you're running W10 and surfing the web you are being tracked. Do you do Facebook?

Hi @JulsieL I too would like to welcome you to the forum. I have a similar problem. Try holding down the windows logo key and click the C key. That usually resets Cortana. She can be a little stubborn at times. I have heard there is a big Cortana improvement in the anniversary addition!

Wow! I'm impressed @allheart55 (Cindy E). This looks like a fun thread. I just have a laptop and a printer.I live in a small retirement cottage so I won't bore you with my work place!

Hey Boss I don't have a problem being nuked LOL. I don't know about fixing updates applied multiple times. First time I have seen that. The reliability monitor records updates each time they are installed. I just recommend that link to people having problems with W10 updates. This is what Shawn says about it, so thought I would suggest it to the OP! Thanks for your explanation. I ran it one time and it fixed a problem for me! Don't think it would hurt any thing to run it, but as you say probably better not to mess with the dups updates
Sometimes you may have an issue with Windows Update such as not being able to download or install updates, error messages, not being able to search for new updates, etc. These kind of issues can occur when the Windows Update database or components are corrupted, one or more services related to Windows Update are not running, etc.
Resetting the Windows Update components and history can usually solve these types of issues.
Curious to know what the OPs reliability monitor looks like.PS A cool thing about the reliability monitor, is it explains a little about the updates. IMHO it's a great tool that very few users are aware of or use. I hope this post doesn't cause gus a problem or confuse the issue.

Hi @Judy Just wondering if you still need help with your issue?? There are other things we can try or suggest!
I'm hoping you were able to complete the W10 upgrade!

Yup! CNET shot them selves in the foot for a few bucks. That's really sad, but I'm afraid more will follow in the future! Bleeping Computers asking for money for law suit. What is all that BS about?? http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/604046/we-need-your-help-bleepingcomputer-is-being-sued-by-the-creators-of-spyhunter/
Nice read from grooypost.com @Steve We need to tie groovy in with this forum some way!

How hard is it to change your default browser?? My default is Firefox, just like it has always been. MS tested W10 for a long time before releasing the upgrade to the public. They are still testing!
Sure there are some minor problems and I'm sure there will be more problems next month when MS releases the anniversary update. Shouldn't be any thing a good tech can't fix LMAO
Yes everyone here knows how you feel about W10. You post it on every reply

Thanks for the update. You are very welcome. I'm happy that you were able to solve your issue.

If Windows can’t find a new driver for your network adapter, visit the PC manufacturer’s website and download the latest network adapter driver from there. If your PC can't connect to the Internet, you'll need to download a driver on a different PC and save it to a USB flash drive so you can install the driver on your PC. You’ll need to know the PC manufacturer and model name or number.

You can use a freeware program called speccy to find out your system information!

Very nice Cindy! Thanks for your post!

Hi! Go to your PC manufacture and see if they have a Wi-Fi Adapter driver update for W10!
