Does anyone else have a problem with Win10 connecting to a Lexmark printer?

My laptop (Win10) will not address my Lexmark x7675 printer either by USB or by wireless. Everything appears normal when you set it up. When you give a print command, it just ignores you. BTW, my desktop (WinXP) still works the printer.

No help from Lexmark. Less help from Microsoft. They give elaborate instructions involving "services," rolling back drivers and IP addresses, none of which worked.

I haven't felt this neglected since my older sisters were forced to take me to the movies!

Hello Jim,

Just checked Lexmark site. Unfortunately, they do not have drivers available for Windows 10 OS. As a matter of fact they only have drivers available for Windows 7 and not even for Windows 8. So the possibility of getting this printer to work with Windows 10 is nil, unless Lexmark releases a driver for Windows 10.

@Jim6058

It looks like that's a fairly old model in tech years...2008?

You might want to check out this article and see if Windows can find a compatible driver:

http://www.groovypost.com/howto/install-configure-printer-windows-10/

When setting it up, make sure to connect it via USB and then worry about the Wi-Fi aspects after that.

Windows 10 uses an updated printer architecture from windows 8:

If that doesn't work, @Edwin009 is correct -- hope Lexmark creates a driver or might be time to pick up a new printer.
