What Do I Do When the Tech Preview ends????

i was just reading online where it says i will have to upgrade my computer when the tech preview end son april 15 later this year... does this mean my computer will be totally useless after april 15???? can someone shed some light on this for me? #worried

There are several more builds that are coming out if you're a Windows Insider.

Plus, I would imagine that there will be an upgrade path for us Windows Insiders who are testing out Windows 10 and leaving feedback. We are the beta testers before it, and it's the least they could do

Thanks for the reply, i did some further reading and it seems as though all tech preview testers have to do is update their os before the preview expires. Not sure but i hope there's a real update since i can't go back to windows 8

It was announced yesterday that anyone running ANY copy (legal or pirated) of 7 or 8.1 will be able to upgrade.

If they don't offer an upgrade from preview to full Win 10....reinstall 7 or 8.1 any way you can and THEN upgrade
