Here's something cool I just realized while using Windows 10 today...you can resize the Start menu like you can any normal windows on the OS.

Just resize it to tall and skinny to small and flat. You can't move it around diagonally...yet, but this is interesting nonetheless. Here are a few shots of different sizes.

Small and thin:
