Win 10 Anniversary update from previous win 10 error

I have had windows 10 installed now for about 6 months and just found out I have an old build. SO I tried to update to the most recent build (Anniversary)

I have had no luck and have scoured the forums for possible answers but at the root most of the posts were from users updating from Win 7 or 8 and I have been unable to find anyone with the same issues who tried the update from a previous build of Win 10. I originally updated from Windows 7

the lates error code I get now is:  0x8007025D - 0x2000C The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with and error during APPLY_IMAGE Operation

My C drive is 1.81 TB with only 331gb used so space is not the issue at least from my perspective
