Don't give up. My guess is your HW isn't supporting Windows 10 fully. You should try to go to your Manufacturers website and try to update the laptop BIOS. Many times this will solve your issue(s) related to power settings and overall Windows 10 compatibility.

What's the Make and model BTW? Perhaps others are having the same issue.
