Issue when connecting my hard drives to laptop

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've been struggling with this new issue since last night and I really have no clue. When I try to connect my hard drives to my laptop you can normally hear the USB sound but the hard drives just won't show up in File Manager. Their blue LED will just light for a few seconds, then it's total darkness but the hard drives are apparently working inside. I tried connecting them to other USB ports and it's just the same, but when I connect them to other computers they normally work. I also tried to see if I could find them in Device Management but nothing. Then, I tried with a System restore, it failed, but the USB cable was plugged when I switched on my laptop again and then it was apparently working fine, but then I tried unplugging and plugging it again and I had the same issue. To be short, I tried connecting my external Hard Disks, USB sound was fine, LED light switching off after a few seconds but Hard Disks apparently working inside, couldn't find them either in Device Management or in File Manager...
