Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant direct download did not work for me... got an error code after the download. What did work for me was downloading the Media Creation Tool (MCT) to a flash drive. The MCT contains the latest Win 10 Version 1607 build 14393.10 Anniversary update. Took about 30 minutes to download. Then went to File Explorer, clicked on My PC showing all drives. Clicked on the USB drive opening the MCT . Clicked on the file "Setup.exe" and the update began installing. This took about one hour. Very pleased with the results...no problems. After all this, I cloned my HDD to my second internal HDD with Macrium Reflect (Free Version), then disconnected it for safety. If anything happens to drive #1, I simply clone #2 back to #1. This works for me but requires getting inside the tower to connect/disconnect it. Good luck in your endeavors.
