URLs for both versions return a 403 error.  Guess MS doesn't want them released quite yet

Why is it that I have no option to download older ISO's like 1607....only offered 1703, my current build?

I'm using a Linux system and cannot get a Windows 10 download whatever I try. I simply get 'we encountered an error processing your request' and a link to an irrelevant FAQ page!!

In desperation I installed Windows 7 first as I had a copy of that handy but, once I've gone through the rigmarole of downloading the installer I get a typical meaningless Microsoft error code 0x80190194 - 0x90018.

I'm only trying to install this OS for a friend and have NEVER encountered so many difficulties simply trying to get hold of a copy!!!

You are on Windows, using Chrome and you do not want to use the tool... You can do this by changing the user agent in your browser... Here is how?

- Go to the download page ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10  )

- Click F12

- Click on icon "Customize and control DevTools" (In my case it is an icon with 3 dots below eachother)

- Choose menu item "More tools"

- Choose menu item "Network conditions" 

- In one of the windows you will have a new tab "Network conditions". Scroll down to "User agent"

- Uncheck "Select automatically"

- In the dropdown where "custom..." is selected. Now choose "Chrome -- Android Mobile" (or another non Windows browser)

- Press F5 to refresh your screen. You now have the possibility to download the iso.

Thanks! Is this newer than if we were to download via Media Creation Tool or is it the same ISO?

How is that I have been installing software for years and none of this makes any sence at all. I have a laptop that with windows 10 and it crashed and cannot restore without an iso and I have to jump through hopes to do this simple thing. Thanks a lot Microsoft. What ever happened to making it simple stupid

On a gigabit connection, it only took about five minutes for me. They're providing excellent bandwidth - so, wish you'd make this more accessible MS, but thank you for the bandwidth.

What should I change the User Agent string too? I'm running Chrome, and have set it to "Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.3; Nexus 7 Build/JSS15Q) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/63.0.3239.132 Safari/537.36" (by choosing "Chrome - Android Tablet". Microsoft still insist I download the Media Creation Tool, which then tells me I don't have sufficient space to download the update - which is why I want to download the ISO (assuming I can do that to my D drive, as I did some years back)!

Thanks this worked for me just as you described and I changed my device to a Google Pixel 2 and refreshed the paged then I got the menu to choose what version and language and started the download.

this still works- sept 2018

22nd of October. Tried to download. but it's giving me the October update even if it displays the old one. This is a big issue, because several devices on my laptop aren't working and that's a true pain in the *******. Only thing I can do is to acutally order and buy recovery media, because just resetting won't help, since the system is updated to the October update. 
 

Can I get a direct link to windows 10 LTSB version 1607

This is one reason I’m thinking of going to Linux. My windows 10 was hacked the instant I installed it making it run at 75% cpu, and rising. So I re-did everything and now my key doesn’t work. I am now stuck on Windows 7. Grrrrrrrrrr

Get Windows from original sources. The 75% CPU usage could have been caused by faulty driver. The key works if it's legit, because it's signed to your HW_ID.
Linux distributions have been added with malware and spyware aswell, because people don't check if it's a legit download or not. 

Check if it's original source, the sites provide hash-key. Everything else can be injected with malware. Even with same size. This was the thing with people thinking they're downloading legit updates for their mobile phones and even the software can't detect if it's correct or not.
