Hi guys well it progressed all the way only to be confronted  with the dreaded can't create recovery drive so I went on live chat with a Microsoft agent and he remotely took charge of my laptop and tried to reach create and again it failed! But  then he downloaded windows 10 using the creation tool and it's downloading it as I write this to my usb flash drive fingers x John H
