Webcam stops to work on Chrome and Teams

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Following an automatic Windows 10 update, my webcam stopped working on the Google Chrome browser and on the Microsoft Teams platform. I tried all the solutions searched on the web, like uninstalling and reinstalling the webcam. It seems that the problem is that the webcam is being used by another program.
I tried a brand new webcam, and it gives me the same error.

As I said, I tried several of the classic solutions found on the net without success.

What do you recommend me?

If your webcam stops working on Chrome and Teams, several troubleshooting steps can help resolve the issue. First, ensure that your webcam is properly connected and not blocked by other applications. Check Chrome's settings to verify that permissions for camera access are granted. In Teams, confirm that the correct camera is selected in the settings. Restarting both Chrome and Teams, as well as updating browser and device drivers, can often fix connectivity problems. If issues persist, consulting device manuals or support forums may provide additional solutions tailored to your specific setup.
