laptop in Hurricane

My Toshiba Satellite C55 was in my coastal house in Florida when Hurricane Michael hit. Since the roof was blown off and the walls collapsed, the laptop was exposed to blowing saltwater and freshwater rain. Now the power light comes on but nothing else happens. The black screen solutions seem to mostly assume that start sequences can wake a unit up, but in my case there is nothing operational except the white power light. Is there any hope? If nothing else I would like to retrieve my files if possible. Thanks for any responses.  (I'm not very tech savvy).
