My computer was recently updated to Windows 10 Pro version 1511 OS Build 10586.29 Again I have the exact same problem and the FIX did not work this time round.I can not name New Folders. I can rename text or doc files. This is the error I receive Rename Folder Can't find the specified file Make sure you specify the correct path and file name The file or folder does not exist Any help appreciated

I am just about ready to do a complete Clean Install of Windows 10 from a USB back up I created today. What a pain in my ass. Perhaps a system restore but I don't know how long the problem has been with me as far as initiating a restore date. Problem now is I am unable to rename any new folders. Error:can't find the specified file. Make sure you specify correct path and file name. New folder date created 11/4/2015. When I hit try again it says Rename with a red X The file or folder does not exist. Any solutions out in the 10's. Thanks from Cryominute

Thank You. My question was about making the back up on USB. I am satisfied with Windows 10 and as mentioned have already deleted the Windows/Old folder. A backup would be Windows 10 only.

Is it safe too delete or should I wait till after making the USB Recovery backup? I have already cleaned up Windows/Old.

????? Can not find any info on this. I Bought an HP Pavilion Slimline (s5310f) computer in 2010 with Windows 7 OS. Than I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate OS. Installed Windows 10 Pro. I deleted Windows/OLD. What is in the Factory Image that shows up in MY PC files ? Windows 10 Pro or Windows 7 that originally came with purchase. I read somewhere that Windows 10 does not have a Factory Restore only recovery. I am in the process of making a USB Recovery backup. I am curious if I am recovering Windows 7 or Windows 10? Is it safe to format the Factory Restore drive for other uses??? Any answers greatly appreciated.
