How to add more Folders to Start Menu

Recommended Posts

There are two folders in Documents that I use all the time.   I want to somehow make those folders available on the Start Menu (like I had in Windows 7), without going to Documents, which I do have on my Start Menu, and then scrolling for those folders. I am willing to take off the Documents Folder from the Start Menu to make room for these folders.

How can I accomplish what I am trying to do?

Heya @merrillmack - Yeah, that makes sense. So I can't solve your EXACT request, but perhaps I can get you 80% there.

Windows 10 allows you to only add certain folders to your start menu however, you are allowed to Right-Click on a folder and click Pin to Start from the context menu. Once you do this, the folder will show up as a Start Tile which you can move around. So not perfect, but good enough?

Hi @merrillmack

I have an unconventional way of achieving what your trying to do.

I right click on the Folder and select "Send To"

I select "Desktop" first.

Then right click on the Folder on the Desktop and choose "Pin for easy access"

Works for me every time on any Folder.

Just a way I have gotten used to.
