  1. Teams kept crashing so I took a look at the event log and found this message just before it crashed.Any idea why Unarchiver.exe (which I assume was something to do with 7zip) is using so much virtual memory? that's 2.47GbI've uninstalled 7zip but I keep getting the same issue, Windows Defender and Malewarebytes can't find anything, extremely frustrating to lose connection in meetings due to a random issue like this.Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Update: Microsoft is forcing users to download the ISO file using the Media Creation Tool. If you still want to download the ISO file directly, you can do so by changing the User Agent String in your web browser. This will make the browser pretend its on an operating system such as Linux or macOS, which Microsoft permits direct downloads from. If you need to download Windows 10 on an alternative operating system such as OS X (MacOS) or Linux; the Media Creation Tool or Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant will not work because those applications are executables. Previously, Microsoft provided the
  3. The Internet and Social Media have changed the development process for many of the products we use. Windows 10 in particular has embraced the benefits of these modern day platforms to help improve and bring new releases to market approximately every six months. When I participated in Microsoft Beta Programs (remember Microsoft Betaplace and Connect) more than a decade ago, it was sort of an exclusive club of maybe few thousand or more. Although both had its benefits, with the significant growth of Windows and Office, there had to be change to make feedback represent the billions of users
  4. Hi,I have an issue with windows 10 hibernation: from start of hibernation (or sleep) process (when monitor turns off) to when the laptop turns off it takes one to two minutes (the duration is almost the same for each time). From the start of the process monitor turns off immediately and some seconds later the light of mouse turns off. But from the start, laptop fans goes to higher speeds (it should be the sign of high cpu usage maybe around 50%) and it continues to the end. Also the hard-disk is not used during this process (according to its indicator on the laptop). The same thing happens for

  6. A number of users have been reporting issues recently removing the protective seal on Windows 10 OEM System Builder product key stickers. Unlike retail Windows 10 licenses, which come on a business size card in the box; the OEM Windows 10 System Builder product key is located on the certificate of authenticity sticker on the outside or inside of the package. To prevent theft, a protective seal covers the product key. Similar to a pay as you go phone card, users can utilize a sharp instrument such as a knife, scissor or even a coin to remove protective seal. See below: Credit: Mi
  7. Dear All, I use HP Pavilion 15-p003-tx Touchscreen laptop bought in 2014 with Windows 8.1 64-bit per-installed which I later formatted & did a fresh installation of Windows 10 Home Single Language edition 64-bit by downloading a legal copy of it from Microsoft's official website & burned it on a USB pen drive. I have set screen display to "Turn Off" after 1 min on Battery power & 3 mins when Plugged in. System will go into "Stand-by mode" in 3 mins on Battery power & 5 mins when Plugged in. Now, the issue is that whenever the screen display goes off, upon pressing any

  9. Hello, earlier today I was doing homework on my Dell Inspiron 13 7000 Windows 10 laptop and I got the little pop up that says battery is low. I ignored it like I usually did and then it said battery very low. This is usually where I get up and plug in the charger but sometimes I keep doing what im doing and then it dies and I realize I forgot to go get the charger. Thats what happened here. I left my computer open and went to get my charger. I plugged it up and waited a couple of minutes because it usually turns on by itself. I pressed the power button a couple of times after that and it still
  10. Hey!I have a Lenovo ideapad 330 and it comes with a Realtek audio device built in. I have had the laptop for 3 months now and suddenly my sound stops. Only bluetooth still works. when I click on the sound icon at the bottom right, the help-wizzard audio appears. This one says they have no solution. and when I right click on the icon it says: speaker settings: UNKNOWN. and when I go to the sound settings of windows in the settings menu it says that no input and output devices are available. Also my Realtek audio device is not in the list with device manager. so i can't check the drivers or rein
  11. Hello, The improved magnifier in windows 10 is a very important tool for the visually impaired. The magnifier used to track the keyboard and mouse cursor without any problem until a few weeks ago when it stopped tracking keyboard cursor in both my PC and laptop. It does track the keyboard cursor in MS Office applications but does not do so in Chrome and other applications. Please advise, Avishay
  12. These details may be useful, I’ll try to specify every little detail about the issue that I can remember: Summary of my laptop’s specs: ASUS TUF FX505GE, i7–8750, GTX 1050Ti 4GB, 8GB RAM, SSD+HDD, Windows 10 Home Edition SL The laptop is still relatively new, just bought around 1 month ago but the issue started since around last week. At first, there was no issue at all. The lagging issue occurred whenever I unplugged my laptop from the charger, 1–2 seconds after Windows automatically switch the power plan to Power Saver mode. Suddenly, the cursor apparently disappears. When

  18. I have an HP Pavilion p390nr which I bought for 2 very lame reasons the touchscreen being 1 of them. Sadly since the roll out of the creators update last year my touchscreen stopped working, it still showed in the device manager however hidden it was there but after various attempts with Microsoft on the line or trying the other options of fix its others were doing the drivers flat disappeared and now when you go to Control Panel\System and Security\System it says no pen and touch available for this display. I literally have no clue which way to go on this mess oh ya and in all the "fix it's"
  19. All of a sudden, when I try to view any or all disk drives by double-clicking their icons on the desktop, NONE of them will open or display. What I always get instead is the error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I get the same error when I try to run any *.msc or control panel. When I choose Settings instead of Control Panel, nothing happens at all. I get it even if I simply double-click "This Computer"! I'm running 64-bit Windows 10 Pro 1803, and since there are no other users, my user

  24. Recently I got a new Docking Station from Dell (Thunderbolt Dock TB16) to use with my Razer Blade 14 Laptop. Up until now, I had just one monitor, so I didn't need a docking station. That is until I got a 2nd monitor. Razer, as you know, is far from being a "standard" laptop. However, its Thunderbolt port follows all the standards (assumption), so my hope was the Dell TB16 would just work. And it did... for Video and Network. USB, however, was dead on the Docking station. None of my USB devices would work when plugging into the TB16 - Webcam, USB Mouse, Headset, etc.. Plugging directly i
