Missing Icon Labels, Text and Icons in Windows 10 Creators Update Due to Comodo Antivirus and Incompatible Intel Atom Processors

If you recently upgraded to the Windows 10 Creators Update, and you are experiencing graphical glitches such as: missing icon labels, corrupted icons or text; this is likely due to compatibility problems associated with a series of Intel Atom processors and the Comodo Antivirus utility. Prior to launch, Microsoft Support had published an advisory letting users know of a compatibility issue with Intel's Clovertrail series of Atom processors. A couple days ago, Microsoft updated their post on the Microsoft Community; including Comodo Antivirus as another cause for graphical issues some users have been experiencing.

Icons and/or text throughout the Windows interface may not appear at all, or may appear as solid color blocks on some devices.

This issue may occur if you have an out-of-date version of Comodo Internet Security or Comodo Cloud Antivirus running in Creators Update.  To resolve the issue if you have a Comodo product installed, please update to the latest version of the security software before installing the Creators Update.  You can find information for updating your Comodo product at https://antivirus.comodo.com/windows10update-advisory.php. Comodo recently published an advisory informing users to remove or update their Antivirus utility before upgrading to the Windows 10 Creators Update. Version 1703 has not been smooth sailing for everyone. Microsoft also advised Toshiba users were advised to remove the Display utility software; computers with the Broadcom 440x series LAN adapters should also remove the adapter before upgrading. Some apps have also been affected by the Creators Update, Quark Inc, released an update to fix compatibility problems with version 2015 and 2016. Mac users were also advised to first upgrade to the Anniversary Update (1607), before updating to 1703.

Before upgrading, users should take the time to backup and check the manufacturers website to find out about support. Check the following links for resources:

This only happens with two programs, Adoce Acrobat and Evernote and happened before the upgrade to Windows 10 Creators Update.  Any other ideas?

This is happening also on non-atom processor based systems without Comodo AV installed.

In my case it was an issue caused by AMD Graphic Drivers.  We started the system in safe mode and disabled that program.

I also experience a lot of graphical issues after fresh installation of Creators Update on my Alienware laptop and I neither have an Intel Atom processor nor an anti-virus program installed.

In many cases there are no icons at all - I see "blank icons". Windows has tremendous problems creating icons and it takes ages to finish that procedure. Another issue is the gray bar in some confirmation dialog boxes where I have YES and NO buttons and this "broken" gray bar at the bottom, which should be straight or deeper but it is not.

And when I use the "Pin To Start" option from the context menu, two program logos are added to the Start Menu. Deleting one of them instantly deletes the other one.

And YES all drivers are up-to-date.

latest win 10 update, intel I5 processor 7 series, avast! anti-virus, computer is only about 9 months old.

Another thing to note is that I'm only missing some text elements not all, for example my cmd is 100% empty but my file explorer is untouched.
